Austin Bergstrom International Airport Project Owner: City of Austin

Macias & Associates was the Lead Surveyor for the New Airport Project Team (NAPT) providing office and field staff to perform all land surveying services for the conversion of Bergstrom Air Force Base to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.  Macias provided all surveying services for approximately 20 design projects, including locating all monitoring wells, performing all runway and tarmac design surveys, providing quality control for roadways, water, wastewater, storm, and many other design projects inside and outside the boundary of the existing ABIA. Our responsibilities also included the preparation of parcels for land acquisitions of 58 parcels for the purchase by the City of Austin.  Our responsibilities also included maintenance of approximately 300 horizontal and vertical control points that were used to control the horizontal and vertical integrity of the construction phase of all areas of the new airport.
